How's the Troegenator, nvr?
I may have had that some time ago, can't remember.
Most of Troeg's products are good, imo.
At the present moment, it's Miller Time for me:
BA- Tastes ok, definitely less fillling, and best of all easier to burn off.
i believe the moment's right to discuss a very serious matter............................................................beer.
what do you like?
let's edumicate one another!

i can't read every post about how all you x jw's went to the memorial.
and i don't know how many here still think they are christians?
but i interested to know if anyone did the christian thing and followed the commandment of jesus.
johnny,
What you are obviously forgetting is that most of the x-dubs that consider themselves Christian do partake of the bread and the wine (as I and others in my community do), symbolic of Christ's sacrificed flesh and blood, and his new covenant. They, however, do it in gatherings outside the KH, in their homes, or, for others, in their churches.
Those who go to "the memorial" at the KH, are a different lot, as most of them only go to not disappoint family they must live with. You do understand the profound effects of having family shun you, don't you?
BA- Hope that clears things up for you.
PS- If you bothered to check the other threads, you'd already know this.
flora and fauna in my yard....by time you start, these will be burnt out.
enjoy!.
.
A garden full of alts, how nice!!
something simple as raising your kids?.
schooling?
leaving the witnesses and breaking tradition?
Tough to say what is the "greatest" achievement:
- Living through some wild, dangerous adventures as a teen and young man.
- Beating the odds, going to college, getting a good career.
- Raising some wonderful offspring.
- Realizing I was in a cult, leaving it, and not losing faith in God.
- Finding family I had no contact with for decades.
- Realizing each year, while learning new things, I realize I know less of what is to be known.
- Being a forgiving, empathetic person.
- Loving God, loving love, loving learning, and loving life.
BA- To name but a few achievements that come to mind. Which is greatest? Tough to say.
a friend and i were discussing the possible means by which the wts could drop 1914, the last remaining significant prophetic flop-date to which they cling.
i believe they will feel compelled to do so, and i believe they will do so within the next 5 years.
they tend to drop significant prophecies before crucial anniversaries that make them a clear laughingstock.
I don't see it happening, at least not that way.
Why?
It would seem unlikely, in our view, that such enthronement of our King Jesus is still future, but it could be. We resist the tendency of some to take on the mantle of a prophet in this regard. We believe that the 'time left is reduced', but cannot state for a certainty that 'day or hour'.
They have never resisted taking on the mantle of a prophet in the past, or present. They never stop short of determining the "right" meaning of anything. Even when they state in one paragraph that they are (in essence) fallible, within a few paragraphs they have stated what amounts to their always being "right". This way they can DF anyone who doesn't hold the company line.
BA
for those who feel that i've hijacked your thread(s), i'm still relatively new here, so your forgiveness (based on this acknowledgement and apology) is appreciated.
i'm posting this link, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/131766/2343640/post.ashx#2343640, on the other threads as soon as i can.

Looks as though Q Bert's been shot and stuffed:
for a bit of sunday fluff, i wanted to post that i love every single one of you guys and girls.
please feel free to join me in sending love to all on jwd :)
can someone tell me what exactly to expect at the memorial thing tonight?
i have never been and don't really want to go, but i also want to satisfy my curiosity about what happens there.
i know i can't eat the bread or drink the wine.
They will tell you not to eat the bread or drink the wine, but they're just testing you.
When they pass the "emblems", you really neeed to partake, it's what they really want you to do.
BA
Yes,
as others on this thread stated, at home,
tonight, with family and friends.
We will also partake, as Christ told us to.
BA
i'm looking to plant a new tree in my garden and wonder if there's anyone out there in jwd land who can give me some advice.
the area is pretty sunny and quite sheltered although we do have strong winds around here in the winter.
it also sometimes freezes.
Jeff,
Nice seasonal change it looks like in the Rowan. Is this tree available in the US anyone know?
Yes, here it is commonly known as "Mountain-Ash", however, to avoid confusion, it's always best to ask for Sorbus species, the scientific name, as there are many varieties and cultivars available.
